On Saturday May 2 2015 the Byron Police Department will be closing Main St from GA 49 to Moseley Rd for the Battle of Byron Festival. We will start closing streets at 730am. Main St will reopen hopefully no later than 6pm but it may last longer.

The City of Byron, named for the poet Lord Byron, was incorporated in 1874 and covers 5.8 square miles. The population according to the 2010 census is 4,561. With exits within the city limits off Interstate 75, Byron is poised for continued growth in the years to come.

The Mayor and Council meet in regular session the second Monday of every month at 6 p.m. All official regular meetings are in the Council Chamber at the Byron Municipal Complex, 401 Main Street, Byron, Georgia.
