Byron Fire Department Operations

The Byron Fire Department (BFD) office hours are generally from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. but it is not uncommon for the office to be closed because personnel are on a call or conducting fire prevention inspections. If you get a recording when you call, leave a message and your call will be returned. If you plan to contact the Byron Fire Department in person, call for an appointment prior to your visit.

Byron BFD responds to fires within six square miles of its fire station at 103 Ga. Hwy. 49 in Byron near Main Street. Fire calls are dispatched by the Emergency 911 system.

In addition to our primary role of safeguarding the lives and property of our residents and visitors, BFD personnel accomplish a host of other services that enhance the quality of life in Byron.

If you have any questions, suggestions, and/or comments regarding the services provided by the Byron Fire Department, please do not hesitate to call the office or send an email note.
